Hi, I’m Alessia Sersanti, an Italian-born multidisciplinary artist and painter originally from Rome and now based in Kirkland, Washington, where I live with my family and our sweet Husky, Yago.

My relationship with painting began early, inspired by my mother, who was an artist in the 1970s. I later studied Art History in Rome and Renaissance painting techniques in Florence, experiences that gave me a deep appreciation for both classical tradition and the freedom of intuitive expression. My artistic journey has also been shaped by my background in fashion design, where I developed a lasting fascination with color, texture, material, and visual storytelling.

Working primarily with oils and acrylics, I create abstract and figurative paintings inspired by nature, human emotion, memory, and the mysteries of the natural and cosmic worlds. Botanical forms, layered textures, strong contrasts, and a sense of atmosphere appear throughout my work. Today, my creative practice is also expanding beyond the canvas into music, sound, and new technologies, exploring different ways emotion and imagination can take form.

My work has been acquired by private collectors in Europe and North America. More than anything, I hope each painting creates a connection—a moment to pause, feel, and discover something personal within the work. Whether it becomes part of a home, a conversation, or a lasting memory, I hope it continues to reveal something new over time.
