Artist Bio | Alessia Sersanti

Alessia Sersanti is an Italian-born multidisciplinary artist, painter, and AI music producer based in Kirkland, Washington. Raised in Rome in an environment steeped in creativity, she was first introduced to painting by her mother, an artist in the 1970s. This early influence developed into a lifelong artistic practice, leading her to study Art History in Rome and Renaissance painting techniques in Florence, where she explored both the legacy of classical painting and her own growing affinity for abstraction.

Her creative journey has moved across disciplines. Before dedicating herself fully to her artistic practice,  Sersanti founded a luxury handbag line manufactured in Italy and launched her own brand in 2017. Yet painting remained her deepest form of expression. What began as a creative refuge gradually became the center of her artistic life.

Working primarily with oils and acrylics, Sersanti creates layered, textured works that explore the relationship between nature, emotion, energy, and imagination. Her paintings move between abstraction and recognizable forms, often drawing inspiration from vibrant botanicals, metaphysical ideas, personal experiences, and the mysteries of the natural and cosmic worlds.

Her practice has recently expanded into music and artificial intelligence. As an AI music producer and creator behind the artist project SERSANTI, she creates emotional electronic and melodic deep house music, exploring how new technologies can become part of a deeply human creative process. Moving between painting, sound, AI, and visual storytelling, Sersanti is increasingly interested in the space where technology does not replace human expression, but becomes another instrument through which imagination, memory, emotion, and identity can take form.

Travel and intercultural experience continue to influence her work. Having explored Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, and remote areas of the United States, she draws inspiration from landscapes, sensory experiences, and meaningful connections across cultures. Her work is ultimately guided by a belief in the transformative power of creativity: an invitation to pause, feel, question, and connect with what lies both within us and beyond us.
