The Art of Resonance: When Music and Painting Meet
An intimate evening of classical music, art, and giving in support of the Seattle Chamber Orchestra
There are moments when two art forms seem to speak to each other without needing words.
That is the idea behind The Art of Resonance, a special evening taking place on September 26, 2026, in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood, where music, painting, and philanthropy will come together in an intimate private setting.
I am honored to be contributing a special selection of my original paintings to the Seattle Chamber Orchestra's Fall Gala Fundraiser, celebrating the orchestra's fifth season.
The evening is being created by Lorenzo Marasso, Founder and Music Director of the Seattle Chamber Orchestra, and will bring together musicians, artists, and supporters of the arts for an experience centered around the power of live performance and creative connection.
Music, Art & Giving
The evening will begin with an intimate chamber music performance featuring beloved works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonín Dvořák, performed by SCO musicians with piano, voice, and string quintet.
The performance will be hosted by Lisa Bergman of Classical KING FM, Seattle's classical music radio station.
Following the music, guests will gather over exceptional food and curated wines, with time for conversation and connection.
And alongside the music, my paintings will become part of the evening.
The Art of Resonance Collection
For this fundraiser, I am creating a small selection of original paintings especially for the occasion.
My work has always been deeply connected to emotion, atmosphere, movement, and the moments that stay with us. In that sense, I find a natural connection between painting and music.
A musical phrase can linger long after the final note.
A color, gesture, or brushstroke can do something similar.
Both can create an emotional response that is difficult to explain—but easy to feel.
That is what The Art of Resonance means to me: the idea that something we experience in one moment can continue to move through us long after the moment itself has passed.
The paintings I will present at the gala are being created with that feeling in mind.
They will be a small, intimate selection rather than a traditional exhibition—works created specifically to become part of this particular evening and its celebration of the arts.
Supporting Live Music in Seattle
What makes this evening especially meaningful is that it is not simply a celebration of music and art. It is also an opportunity to help sustain them.
The Seattle Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2021 with a mission of bringing exceptional professional musicians together to explore both traditional and adventurous repertoire and create meaningful live experiences for Seattle audiences.
As SCO enters its fifth season, this gala helps support the orchestra's continued work and its next chapter.
I am particularly happy that the paintings can play a small role in that effort.
Art has always been about connection for me—between the artist and the viewer, between one experience and another, and between different forms of creative expression.
On this evening, those connections will come together through music, painting, food, wine, conversation, and community.
