Description:
"Is There Anybody Out There?" is an abstract painting inspired by the NASA Perseverance Rover's landing on Mars on February 18, 2021, where the rover descended through the thin Martian atmosphere at over 12,000 mph (20,000 kph). This original acrylic artwork in golden and earth tones seeks to capture the mystery and wonder of space exploration. To evoke the sensory experience of touching the Martian surface, I incorporated sand and gesso, creating a textured effect that invites viewers to feel the rugged terrain of the Red Planet.
The canvas is mounted and framed.
