Description:
"Flore Petaloso" is an original acrylic painting on canvas featuring vibrant, neon colors. This unique piece from Alessia Sersanti's collection is crafted on high-quality, stretched gallery canvas and framed in a distressed gold leaf float frame.
Inspired by the charming story of a 7-year-old Italian student who coined the term "petaloso," meaning "full of petals," this artwork connects to a historical reference by the English botanist James Petiver. Petiver used a similar term in 1695 to describe exotic plants. To enhance the painting's tactile quality, Sersanti employed various mediums, including sand and gesso, to create a rich, textured effect.
The canvas is mounted and framed.
